Alligators are ones form crocodiles, characterized by a thicker snout. Nowadays there only two species rest: the American Alligator (known as Mississippiensis)
and the Chinese Alligator (known as sinensis).

When you start your dissertation writing, it is very important to make a plan:

  • To touch upon its general description;
  • To tell about its habitant;
  • Describe the behavior;
  • To point out the differences between crocodiles and alligators.

You should know that alligators are darker in color than crocodiles. If you compare the heads of these two Sauropsidas, you may discover that crocodiles have V-shaped heads, and alligators are characterized by U-shaped heads.

Alligators have no concrete diet. They eat everything they can catch. When the alligators are young, they eat small fish, worms and insects. When they are grown, they are able to find larger fish, birds, antelopes and other reptiles that will be on their way. They are either too dangerous for humans.

You should be attentive, if you want to visit the lakes or rivers of Louisiana, Alabama or Florida – these are the most frequent places of the USA, where alligators can be found.
